The city of Dyersville has extended Heritage Trail to within two blocks of downtown. This allows us to stay off the highway and roads a bit more. To make advantage of this our new Checkpoint is at Chad's Pizza (108 1st Avenue West, Dyersville, IA 52040-1103).
They will have a pizza buffet, fresh to made pizza, sodas, gateraids, candy bars, etc. They have a large indoor dinning area and will open early for the speed demons.
To get there from the WW2 Tank at the end of Dubuque County Heritage trail cross the road diagonally and follow the snowmobile trail until it ends then continue on the road that you were riding next to (Beltline Road) until you get to the STOP SIGN at 2nd Street SE. Turn Left (south) for two blocks Turning Right (West) onto 1st Avenue West. Cross the Bridge and Chad's Pizza is the first building on the right.
