2013 Race Date is set! Jan 20th 2013 (MLK Jr Sunday)

The Triple D Winter Race will occur on its customary Sunday before Martin Luther King Jr. Monday Holiday (Sunday, January 20th, 2013)

Format will be very similar as prior years, however the following modifications are still in the works:
1.      We will add a poker tour event for the bikers (there will be no categories in the poker tour, best hand wins). All bike events this year will be capped at 100, all run/ski events are capped at 61, so early registration is encouraged.
2.      New/much better venue (race headquarters). We are now at Dubuques' Best Western Plus on Highway 20.
3.      A mandatory day before race packet pickup (exceptions will be allowed, but must be approved - basiclly out of town racers who are driving in the morning of the race).

Believe it or not, but we are currently working on sending out the remaining prize money (done) from 2012 and a couple competitor medals (we got a little behind on our house keeping for some of the late registrations from last year).

  1. Hi Lance,

I don't mean to sound greedy but I came in 1st last year for the 50K foot race and didn't receive a payout. If I have something coming great, if not, totally cool too. Only reason I bring it up is because I moved and I don't want a check mailed out to my old address. If you need my new address feel free to contact me via my blog and I can get it to you. I have to admit that missing The Triple D will be the first race I'll miss doing since moving to Colorado.

    Take care,
    Brad

  2. How do their diet differ from vegans and since they claim 75% of their consumption to be fruits how can they sustain nourishment during the winter?

  3. Brad, Traci is helping me this weekend get out all the $ and medals from last year. Really sorry about this. I’ll be asking for co-race director help this year, as this race is way too big for one person. Exp, since i work 70+ hours a week and attempt to train for these races too...
